Chicken Fried Pork Chops Recipe

Ok, so the phrase, 'quick and easy slow cooker recipe' sounds like an oxymoron. But really by using your crock pot to make dinner, you only have to count the time it takes to chuck the ingredients into the pot, put the lid on, and leave. How quick and easy is that? Depending on your recipe it can be extremely quick and that's our goal after all isn't it?

Chicken Fried Pork Chops Crock Pot Recipe

Quick, easy and yummy...the pork just falls apart and it reminds you of a tasty diner meal when you accompany this dish with mashed potatoes and a dinner roll...and some corn, peas etc.

1/2 c flour
2 tsp salt
prepared mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6 pork chops
2 tbsps olive oil
1 can cream of chicken or cream of celery soup
1/3 c water

Mix up the flour, salt and garlic powder. Smear mustard on each side of the chops, just enough to cover lightly and then dredge in the dry ingredients. Heat a skillet and add the olive oil. Brown the chops on both sides. This step add the bits of goodness that you'll want in your gravy when it's all done. Put the chops in the crock pot. Mix the soup and water and pour over chops. Cover the crock pot and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice or noodles. Add the crock pot juice as gravy. Thicken with some flour if needed, but usually it's not required for a nice gravy consistency.
