Chicken and Biscuits

3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 (14 1/2) oz. can chicken broth
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups shredded chicken
*1 or 2 teaspoons of "chicken flavored" soup base.
1 package of refrigerated biscuits

Prepare biscuits according to directions. While biscuits are baking, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Slowly stir in flour adding salt & pepper to the flour. Slowly add chicken broth stirring constantly. Add the milk and chicken and stir to combine and let mixture simmer for about 1 -2 minutes or until thickened. Serve over hot biscuits.
