6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 tbl. oil
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
In a shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Dip the pork
chops into the egg, then into the bread crumbs.
Brown the chops in hot oil on both sides in a large fry pan. Add water
and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes, until
tender. Uncover and continue cooking about 10 minutes until the
coating is crisp.
