Easy to Make Cornbread

1 ½ cups cornmeal
2 ½ cups milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
½ cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix together the cornmeal and the milk and set aside for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Add the cornmeal/milk mixture, eggs and oil. Mix until the batter is smooth. Then pour into a lightly greased pan.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until cooked through.
